We can sum up with many good discussions and positive signals.
A generic planning model with impulses for strengthening an environmentally conscious, sustainable print shop and the presentation of extended analysis methods provided customers and interested parties with numerous suggestions for optimizing their operations.
In particular, the simulation and visualization of entire production processes including warehouse, buffer and intralogistics, which can be displayed based on real customer order data, received a lot of attention. Falcon can create and use such a "digital twin" to make the concept even clearer during the planning phase and thus plausibly verify it. Falcon can also use this method to realistically simulate the developed production concept during site optimization.
Together with partner Sistrade, a software company specializing in all print segments, the importance of a successful digital transformation for efficient, future-proof operations was highlighted. New AI-supported functionalities and a modernized, intuitive user interface take Sistrade`s leading industry system to a new level.

Sistrade invited their users and partners to gather for their first international congress in July. Sistrade could celebrate with over 130 participants a successful corporate development. FALCON being a long-term partner has been invited with its customers and asked to contribute with a presentation. Holger Ochel could address the audience with a captivating lecture about the Smart Factory Concept of FALCON and created lively discussions. The demand and move for change to adapt digitisation is all-encompassing and does not save off any segment. Users present showed a great interest and consistently confirmed the need to take up such transformation strategy.

Holger Ochel presented a keynote lecture about the topic "MIS and ERP on the test bench" - What about Print 4.0?“ Individual requirements, measures and priorities let create a roadmap for the transformation process into Smart Factories for the print and packaging industries. The focus is on the full value chain - customer in the centre.
He was able to draw examples and applications such explaining an integrated production systematic. Key issues for gaining benefits are intensified digitisation and automation by developing an effective process and material flow. This however needs a holistic concept considering technology, processes and people. A fully integrated MIS/ERP system and the smart factory approach involving re-design or a newly designed production site with ideal conditions are mandatory for future viability.
